What we build
Custom Balloon Arches for Nashville Parties and Events
Put an arch over a doorway, a cake table or a stage and the whole room suddenly has a focal point.
A balloon arch is a curve of balloons, built on a frame or tied off at both ends, that frames whatever matters most at your event: the front door, the dessert spread, the couple, the bride-to-be, the grad. It gives you the impact of florals or draping for much less money, and it reads clearly from the back of a room and in every phone photo.
We start each design with your date, your space and your palette instead of a stock photo. Then we choose the balloon mix to get the shape you're after: tiny 5-inch fillers, everyday 11-inch balloons, oversized 18- and 24-inch statement balloons, plus chrome, pearl or foil accents. On the day we bring everything, build the arch in place, and come back to clear it away when the party wraps.
Our arches show up at birthdays, baby showers, gender reveals, bachelorette weekends, bridal showers and weddings, graduations, quinceañeras, church celebrations, office parties and store openings. Any event with an entrance, a table or a spot for pictures has room for an arch.
Arch styles
Balloon Arch Styles We Build in Nashville
Shape sets the mood before color does. These are the arch styles we build, and where each one shines.
Organic balloon arches
Organic arches skip the repeating pattern. Balloons of several sizes are grouped in loose, uneven clusters, so the arch looks lush and a little untamed, which is the look behind most arches you've saved online. They take greenery and florals beautifully and suit showers, weddings and milestone birthdays. Because each foot holds more balloons than a classic arch, they cost a little more.
Classic and spiral balloon arches
Classic arches stack tight four-balloon clusters along the frame in a uniform rhythm. Rotate the colors cluster by cluster and the arch twists into a spiral of two, three or four shades. The result is tidy, strong and perfect for school, team and brand colors, so it's still the favorite for graduations, sports banquets and company events.
Round, circle and hoop arches
A balloon arch circle (you'll also hear ring, hoop or round arch) wraps balloons around some or all of a round frame. A fully covered ring frames a person for portraits, while a crescent of balloons on one side leaves the middle open for a sign or a name. Round arches are a top pick for photo spots, proposals and sweet 16s.
Square and backdrop arches
A square arch balloon build follows a rectangular frame up and across, usually around a panel, a shimmer wall or a flower wall, so the cake table gets a full stage with clean edges for photos. When you want the arch and the backdrop designed as one piece, look at our balloon backdrops.
Half and asymmetrical arches
A half balloon arch, also called a swoop or demi arch, climbs one side of a door, table or backdrop and stops partway across. It's the current designer look and it uses fewer balloons, which makes it a clever way to keep a big-looking arch inside a smaller budget.
Double arches
A double balloon arch sets two arches together, either nested one inside the other or layered front to back. The depth helps in large rooms like barn receptions, hotel ballrooms and store openings, where a lone arch can feel small.
Mini and tabletop arches
A balloon arch for a table spans roughly 4 to 6 feet and sits over a cake, dessert, gift or sweetheart table. Small balloon arches and table top balloon arches fit condos, rental-house kitchens, restaurant private rooms and baby showers where there isn't floor space to spare.
Entrance and doorway arches
A balloon arch entrance shows guests where to go before they reach the door. We build them over porches, front doors, garage doors, venue entries and shop fronts. Outdoor and storefront arches are weighted for the gusty afternoons that roll in ahead of a Tennessee thunderstorm. Add balloon columns on either side to finish the entry.
Large and giant balloon arches
Large balloon arches start around 16 feet and cover double doors, stages and driveways. For festivals, school events and grand openings, giant arches can stretch 25 to 40 feet using 24- and 36-inch balloons. At that scale the arch is planned as a custom balloon installation around the site itself.
Balloon arches with flowers and greenery
A floral balloon arch weaves silk or fresh blooms, eucalyptus, pampas or trailing greenery through the clusters. It's the softest version of an arch and fits bridal showers, baptisms, garden parties and Mother's Day brunches, as well as rustic barn weddings south of town.

Sizing
Balloon Arch Sizes: Picking the Right One for Your Space
Grab a tape measure before you pick a size. Too small and the arch disappears in photos; too big and guests have to duck around it.
| Arch size | Works for | Approx. balloons |
|---|---|---|
| 4–6 ft tabletop or mini arch | Cake, dessert and gift tables | 60–110 organic |
| 6.5–7 ft frame arch | Photo corners, single doors, small backdrops | 90–130 organic |
| 10–12 ft arch | Front doors, porch steps, 8 ft backdrops | 150–220 organic or 60–75 classic |
| 16–20 ft arch | Double doors, stages, 10 ft backdrops | 240–360 organic or 100–130 classic |
| 25 ft and up | Store openings, gyms, outdoor entrances | Planned for the site |
We measure arch length along the curve, not across the floor, so a 16–20 ft arch usually stands about 8–9 ft tall and 8–10 ft wide. Exact counts shift with balloon sizes and how full you want it.
How many balloons does a balloon arch take? Plan on 5 or 6 balloons per foot for a classic arch of 11-inch balloons, and 12 to 18 per foot for an organic arch that layers 5-, 11- and 18-inch sizes. That puts a 6 ft organic arch at roughly 70–110 balloons and a 20 ft one at 240–360. A bag of 50 covers a small tabletop or half arch, but not a full doorway.
Pricing
How Much Does a Balloon Arch Cost in Nashville?
Most full-size arches we build fall between $210 and $550. Here's where each size starts and what pushes the number up or down.
| Arch | Starting at |
|---|---|
| Tabletop or mini arch (4–6 ft) | $185 |
| Frame arch with garland (6.5–7 ft) | $210 |
| Doorway arch (10–12 ft) | $295 |
| Themed welcome arch with foil accents | $325 |
| Full balloon arch (16–20 ft) | $420 |
| Double, giant and 25 ft+ arches | Custom quote |
Delivery, on-site build and pickup are included within about 35 miles of downtown Nashville. Farther drives add a travel fee starting at $50.
What moves a balloon arch quote:
- Length and density. Every extra foot, and every fuller cluster, adds balloons and build time.
- Style. An organic look packs in noticeably more balloons per foot than a classic or spiral build.
- Balloon types. Chrome, pearl, double-stuffed (a balloon inside a balloon for custom shades) and 18–36 inch balloons cost more than standard latex.
- Extras. Florals, greenery, foil shapes, vinyl names, neon signs, marquee letters and backdrop panels.
- Frame or rigging. A rented frame or stand is part of most quotes; tying the arch to venue structure takes extra labor.
- The drive and the clock. A Gallatin-to-Spring Hill run, an early install or a downtown dock window with garage parking all factor in.
- Teardown. We can come back for everything after the event, or skip pickup if you'd like to keep the balloons.
Want a firm number? Send the date, venue, rough size and colors and we'll reply with a written quote. The garland, column and backdrop pages each list their own starting prices if you're pricing out a full setup.

Colors and themes
Popular Balloon Arch Colors and Themes in Nashville
Send an invitation, a screenshot or a single color you love, and we'll build the palette out from there.
Palettes we're asked for again and again
- Pink, white and chrome silver. The bachelorette weekend standard, with a disco twist if you want one.
- Black and gold. Milestone birthdays, retirements and New Year's Eve.
- Blush, ivory and champagne. Bridal showers, weddings and first birthdays.
- Pastels and soft rainbow. Kids' parties, Easter and baby sprinkles.
- Sage, terracotta, cream and dusty blue. The boho palette for showers and barn weddings.
- Team and school colors. Titans navy and light blue, Predators gold, Vanderbilt black and gold, Vols orange and white, MTSU blue.

Themes
For character parties we pair licensed foil balloons with latex in matching shades. Bluey, Mickey and Minnie, Spider-Man, Paw Patrol, Toy Story, Hello Kitty, Pokémon and Winnie the Pooh come up most. Beyond characters, we build plenty of dinosaur, mermaid, teddy bear baby shower and hungry caterpillar setups, and in this town, a lot of western ones: cowgirl birthdays, boots-and-hats showers and rodeo-themed bachelorette weekends.
Your options
Full Install, Arch Rental or a DIY Kit?
You have a few ways to get an arch into your party. Here's how they stack up.
| Option | What's included | Makes sense when |
|---|---|---|
| Full installation | Design, delivery, on-site build and pickup | The arch is the centerpiece and you'd rather not spend the morning on a ladder |
| Balloon arch rental | A ready-built frame arch dropped off and collected | Photo spots, smaller arches, simple layouts |
| Grab-and-go garland | A finished garland you collect and hang | Short runs over a table or wall, tight budgets |
| DIY balloon arch kit | Loose balloons, a decorating strip and glue dots | Small arches, spare hours and a patient friend |
Is a balloon arch easy to make? A small kit arch is manageable for a beginner with an electric pump and an open afternoon. A full organic arch is a different job. We spend one to three hours building one on-site; first-timers often need four to eight, plus a second store run for more balloons. Inflate too early or with the wrong pump and balloons pop, droop or go cloudy before the guests arrive. If the arch is the star of the day, it usually pays to hand it off.
Nashville weather
Outdoor Balloon Arches in Nashville Heat, Storms and Cold Snaps
An arch can absolutely live outdoors here. It just needs a plan for the season.
Middle Tennessee is hard on latex in more than one way. July and August afternoons climb to around 90 degrees with heavy humidity, and full sun expands the air in each balloon until the weakest ones pop, while UV turns glossy latex cloudy within hours. Spring brings gusty storm fronts, and summer adds pop-up afternoon thunderstorms. In winter the opposite happens: below freezing, air-filled balloons shrink, wrinkle and turn brittle until they warm back up.
- Look for shade first. A covered porch, a patio roof, a tent or the shady side of the house buys the arch hours.
- Build close to party time. For summer afternoon events we schedule the install as late as practical instead of at dawn.
- Skip the helium. We fill outdoor arches with air and mount them on a frame, since helium gives out quickly in the heat.
- Choose lighter shades outside. White, pastels and metallics hold up better in sun than black or deep navy.
- Weight and tie everything. Outdoor arches get heavy bases and tie-offs so a gust ahead of a storm can't tip them.
- Keep a backup spot. Light rain won't hurt latex, but lightning, high wind or a hard freeze means moving the arch indoors or under cover.
Longevity
How Long Does a Balloon Arch Last?
Inside and air-filled, an arch keeps its looks for days. Outside in a Nashville July, plan on the length of the party.
| Setting | Typical life |
|---|---|
| Air-filled, indoors with climate control | Several days, frequently a week or longer |
| Air-filled, outdoor shade in spring or fall | About a day, sometimes into the next |
| Air-filled, full summer sun | A few hours before it clouds over and pops |
| Helium arches and bouquets | Hours, unless they're treated to float longer |
Will my balloon arch last 4 days? Indoors and air-filled, it should. That's why we can set up the evening before a morning shower, and why a bachelorette arch in a rental house still looks good on checkout day. Can you set up a balloon arch the night before? Inside, yes. Outdoors in summer, a same-day build is the safer call.

Party, then pickup

How far in advance should you book a balloon arch? Two to four weeks ahead works for most parties. Last-minute dates are still worth asking about.

Questions
Balloon Arches in Nashville: FAQ
What does it cost for a balloon arch?
Our arches start at $185 for a tabletop arch, $210 for a 6.5–7 ft frame arch and $420 for a full 16–20 ft arch, delivered and built on-site. The final price depends on size, style, balloon count, extras and the drive.
What is a fair price for a balloon arch?
Ours run about $210–$300 for a frame or doorway arch and $420–$550 for a full 16–20 ft organic arch, delivered and built. Whoever you book, check that delivery, setup and pickup are in the price, since a low base number can grow once those are added.
How long do balloon arches last?
Air-filled arches indoors last several days and often a week or more with air conditioning. Outdoors in shade, expect about a day; in direct Nashville summer sun, a few hours. Helium arches only last hours unless treated.
How many balloons go into a balloon arch?
About 12–18 balloons per foot for organic and 5–6 per foot for classic. A 6 ft organic arch uses around 70–110 balloons, and a 20 ft organic arch around 240–360.
Is a balloon arch the same thing as a balloon garland?
Not quite. The garland is the bendable strand of balloon clusters; an arch is that strand (or a run of classic clusters) mounted on a frame or anchors so it holds a curve by itself. A garland can also lie flat along a mantel, a wall or a table.
Do balloon arches use helium?
Usually not. Arches are air-filled and held up by a frame, so they last longer and cost less. Helium is for floating arches and bouquets, which last hours to about a day.
Can a balloon arch go outside in a Nashville summer?
Yes, with planning. We air-fill and weight outdoor arches, put them in shade when possible and build close to start time, because heat and direct sun pop and fade latex within hours.
Can you set up a balloon arch at a rental house for a bachelorette weekend?
Yes. We coordinate the time with whoever booked the house, usually after check-in and before the group gets back, and we use freestanding frames so nothing is taped to the walls. Pickup can be scheduled before checkout.
How early should I book my balloon arch?
Two to four weeks is ideal. Book sooner for May graduations, October weddings, Halloween, December and busy bachelorette weekends in spring and fall. Short-notice requests are welcome.
Can the arch go up the night before my party?
Indoors, yes. An air-filled arch built the evening before looks the same the next morning. Outdoor arches should go up on the day.
Where to get balloons in Nashville?
For decor that's designed, delivered and built for you, like arches, garlands, walls and columns, request a quote here and we'll bring it to your home, rental or venue anywhere in Greater Nashville. For a few loose helium balloons, a party supply store is the quicker stop.
One of my guests is allergic to latex. What are my options?
We can build the arch entirely from foil balloons. The same goes for walls and backdrops, and it's the standard choice for hospitals, schools and offices that don't allow latex.
Tell us the date. We'll build the balloon arches.
